HELP ASAP Rear barn door not unlocking at the top

Done a quick search and couldnt see anything but need help ASAP.

My camper is out on hire and the couple have messaged to say the rear barn door (master) is only releasing on the bottom lock and not the top? Is there a straight forward fix they can try?

Think there is a bar that goes from the central lock that goes up and one down. Need to take the panel off and it sits behind a metal plate.

Could try push in on the top of the door while pulling the door handle. But if the bar is disconnected you will need to remove the panel.
